If you would rather enjoy your pizza with a draft beer and sports on the TV, head to
Dollie's Pub and Café (4310 Lower Honoapi'ilani Rd., 808/669-0266, 11am-midnight
daily, $18-25) at the Kahana Manor Shops. Pizzas are available whole or by the slice, with
happy hour discounts 3pm-6pm and 10-midnight.

On the Kapalua Bay golf course, Pineapple Grill (200 Kapalua Dr., 808/669-9600,

one of the most popular restaurants in Kapalua. Breakfast is a local secret (try the Bene-
dicts or Belgian waffles). The bar menu has affordable island classics such as ahi poke
tacos or kalua pork quesadillas topped with Maui onions. Lunch includes burgers and fish
tacos and dinner has fine entrées such as Kona kampachi fish plates and shiitake-accented
filet mignon.
On the Plantation course, the Plantation House (200 Kapalua Dr., 808/669-9600,
www.theplantationhouse.com , 8am-9pm daily, $10-22) offers expansive views from the
hillside. Considering the luxurious venue, the affordable breakfast and lunch menu makes
you feel like you're getting away with something. Enjoy breakfast items like omelets and
eggs Benedict while overlooking the Honolua coastline. Lunch offers fresh green salads,
teriyaki pineapple burgers, and barbecue pork sandwiches. For dinner, choose fish such as
ahi and monchong or meat selections like braised short ribs and chicken stroganoff. The
popular bar has an extensive wine list.
For good old-fashioned Southern barbecue, check out the Iron Imu BBQ (5315 Lower
Honoapi'ilani Rd., 808/298-4575, www.ironimubbqmaui.com , 5pm-9pm daily, $11-14), a
food cart in the parking lot of the Napili Shores. Brisket, rib, sausage, and chicken plates
are all there, and you get to choose from a selection of three home-style sides.
Seafood
If you're just trying to find a slab of fish to grill up at the condo, Fish Market Maui
(3600 Lower Honoapi'ilani Rd., 808/665-9895, www.fishmarketmaui.com , 11am-7pm
daily, $6-14) in the 5A strip mall in Honokowai has fresh fish sold by the pound. The prices
can be a little high compared to Foodland, but if you're staying at a condo in Honokowai,
it's a convenient option within walking distance. There's also a counter inside where you
can order a seared ahi steak sandwich served with caramelized onions, tomatoes, and was-
abi aioli.
