information to the doctors only related to the
patients of the room they visit.
As far as it concerns the assistance to the
medical staff via the provision of multimedia
content related to the condition of their patients,
the hospital could assure the co-operation with
related scientific websites and databases. These
sites can contain valuable multimedia informa-
tion for supporting the diagnoses and treatments
that the medical personnel opine, as well as for
assisting the administrative procedures for ac-
counting purposes.
In comparison to the other standardised tech-
nologies and mechanisms for the terminal capa-
bilities announcement and extraction, WURFL is
the more promising today. It is functional and its
XML structure makes it fully and easy customable
to include new entries or updates of the existing
ones. However, as an open source project with oc-
casional support, the device capabilities included
into the WURFL file might often be faulty or
incomplete. This is due to errors during import
from the OMA's UAProfs or the wrong organiza-
tion of the WURFL file. Furthermore, information
related to the new devices, usually, delays to be
included in WURFL for policy reasons related to
