level “2”
Assume same capabilities as level “1”, but may vary in the future.
Excellent CSS support. Padding, border and margin are correctly applied. Can reliable apply colors to links, text
and background. CSS graphic effects are pixel perfect. Minimum screen-width: 164 pixels. It can support complex
tables. “Font-size” of 10px or above produces readable text. Supports background images also applied via CSS. In

Apple iOS, Google Android, Palm OS,
Windows Mobile OS, Blackberry OS,
Symbian OS: some of the more popular
operating systems provided for smart-
phones and PDAs.
The capability “xhtml_support_level” of
the group “markup” in the WURFL file is
equal to or greater than 3.

Wireless Devices with Full Multimedia
Capabilities
In this class we classify the devices that match
the following criteria:
Wireless Devices with Reduced Multimedia
Capabilities
This class includes the devices with restrictions
in the presentation of multimedia content. In
particular, for these we assume that:
The capability “is_wireless_device” of the
group “product_info”, as well as the capa-
bility “wifi” of the group “bearer” in the
WURFL file are “TRUE”. This assures that
the device can work wirelessly. According
to the access scenario we have processed,
the clients will communicate with the web
server of our service via mainly the WiFi
intranet of the hospital, or the 3G network
(wherever available).
The capability “is_wireless_device” of the
group “product_info”, as well as the capa-
bility “wifi” of the group “bearer” in the
WURFL file are “TRUE”.
The capability “xhtml_support_level”of
the group “markup” in the WURFL file
equals to 2. This level of support of xHT-
ML cannot unambiguously characterize the
multimedia capabilities of the device. But
along with the capability “wifi”, for which
