In-Depth Information
1. The SCA (BPEL) will be the main orchestration platform for long-running pro-
cesses (already assumed and implemented).
2. ESB will be the main Service Broker for short-running stateless operations (done
in the previous chapter).
3. Our design must be vendor-independent such that we can replace any compon-
ent—stateless or common—by using custom build (Java) or other vendor com-
ponents from other vendors.
The last assumption is extremely important for the Service Inventory and is the focal point
in the entire service infrastructure—any inaccuracy in the implementation of the Service
Metadata Centralization pattern will cause all other components to be severely affected,
Discoverability to be compromised, and composability to become questionable.
