n Tools : Tools to help refresh (update) any scripts or edit lighting within
the game world.
n Settings : Access the setup options for zones and year settings.
n Waypoints : Create a set of waypoints, which are points within the game
world where a character or NPC can move to.
n Render : Describes how the world (or 3D objects) is displayed within the
game. Different rendering options display objects in different ways and
can use more or less memory. The Render options can provide a quick
and easy way to move objects within the world (as objects that use more
memory will take longer to render and move).
n Terrain : The ground that the player walks upon. This section allows you
to configure the terrain options, such as applying terrain automatically or
designing a new terrain.
n Selected objects : Options related to moving and rotating a selected object.
n Zones : A single area in your game world. You normally have multiple
zones in an MMO. Here you can view, create, or delete zones.
Loading the Default World
With every project that is created, there is a default world. You can load this
default world and use it as the basis of your first zone. You can then use it to add
items and get to learn the editor.
In the Zones area there is a drop-down box where you can select any of the
zones that you have already created. You will notice there are currently three
zones, as shown in Figure 10.3.
These three zones are:
n DefaultZone : This is the default world that the player enters and walks
around in.
