In the default project, the items that appear are all fantasy-based and may not be
exactly what you want for your own games. Use these test items to look at the
different settings that each of the objects have and how the items might affect
the player
'
s attributes.

Buttons on the Items Tab
There are four buttons and two checkboxes that you can use within the Items
tab. These can be seen in Figure 9.3.

The buttons are as follows:
n New Item : Generate a new item.
n Duplicate item : Copy a particular item and generate a new item from it.
This is useful when you have a range of similar weapons that you want
to create, such as swords, that might have a similar set of options.
n Delete Item : Remove an item permanently from the list.
n Remap Gubbins : This allows you to map an item to a different part of
an actor
'
s body, such as shoulder, arm, or shin.
The checkboxes are as follows:
n Damage weapon-type items when used : As with most items in the real
world, the more you use something, the more wear and tear it gets.
