Game Development Reference
In-Depth Information
When you create a project, it is added to the following location:
%System Drive%\Program Files\Solstar Games\Realm Crafter 2\Projects.
The first project you created in this topic was called New Project and a folder
was also created for that project within the Projects folder. Your content was
then stored further within these folders:
n New Project\Data\Textures
n New Project\Data\Meshes
Follow these steps to get your content into Realm Crafter:
1. If you are using your own content, create two folders
one called
Meshes and the other called Textures. Place the relevant content within
each of these folders. For example, if you have a zombie character, you
would create a Zombie folder within the Meshes folder, and within that
Zombie folder will be the zombie mesh.
2. If you are importing content from one of the downloaded model packs,
it will already be in the relevant folder structure. In this example, you
will be importing a Bear model into the game (the model comes from
the downloadable content from the Realm Crafter site).
3. Copy the Bear Mesh (model) folder, which is in a location similar to:
%System Drive%:\Program Files\Solstar Games\Model Packs\Animals\bear
This needs to go in the Meshes location for the particular project you
are working on. So for this example, the mesh folder is in the
following location:
%System Drive%:\Program Files\Solstar Games\Realm Crafter 2\
Projects\New Project\Data\Meshes\Actors
And its full path is:
%System Drive%:\Program Files\Solstar Games\Realm Crafter 2\
Projects\New Project\Data\Meshes\Actors\Bear
4. Copy the body.bmp and head.bmp files from the following folder:
%System Drive%:\Program Files\Solstar Games\Realm Crafter 2\
Projects\New Project\Data\Meshes\Actors
