Gemini Observatory
The Gemini Observatory is composed of two 8-m aperture telescopes, one located
at Cerro Pachon in Chile (Gemini South) and the other on Mauna Kea on Hawaii
(Gemini North). Gemini North has a natural guide star system called Altair that has
a 177-actuator, deformable mirror, and a separate tip-tilt mirror.
