In-Depth Information
the departure relation is used to store the departure notice of each
employee when he leaves the site of the work, the timesheet relation
is used to store the timesheet of each employee every day, and the
annual rights relation is used to store the rights of each employee
every year.
2.5.2 Impact of Varying the Number of Tuples
This experiment was designed to determine if the cost of processing
varying numbers of tuples has an impact on the performance of
the multilevel database models. We chose this experiment because
the size of a database is, in part, based on the number of its tuples
(records), and the number of tuples processed during each transaction
could determine how long it takes to return a response to a user
(FigureĀ 2.4).
2.5.3 Impact of Varying the Number of Attributes
This experiment was designed to determine if the cost of processing
varying numbers of attributes has an impact on the performance of
the multilevel database models (FigureĀ 2.5).
