In-Depth Information
biodecomposed polymeric materials, and as a polymeric matrix we should use waste
of packing branch.
12.2 EXPERIMENTAL PART
Waste of polyethylene film and agricultural waste have been chosen for getting bio-
degradated compositions: cacao bean husk, beet bin pulp, buckwheat, rice, millet, sun-
flower shuck, potato, and corn mar. The maximum size of the filler's particles made
less than 150 microns.
There were complexities while processing on standard laboratorial extrusion type
equipment for all compositions, for example there was bad distribution of ¿ ller: its ag-
glomeration led to extruding press's productivity decrease and to formation of defects
in material.
The basic criterion is durability for creation of secondary qualitative raw poly-
meric materials and products made from it. It is characterized by breakdown voltage's
magnitude at monoaxial stretching (ıɪ). By data researches that were carried out this
magnitude should be not less than 4 MPa.
As a result of researches in physico-mechanical characteristics compositions that
have ¿ llers like cacao bean husk, beet bin pulp, and rice schuck have been selected.
In the process of compositions research it was noticed that agroindustrial complex
waste which is “incompatible” with polymeric waste, reduce durability that is con-
nected with specialty of ¿ llers distribution from agroindustrial complex waste in the
supramolecular structure of polymer which leads to formation of non-uniform mate-
rial's structure.
For clearing this lack while processing mixed compositions it is expedient to use
special additives which can lead not only to improvement of compositions workabil-
ity, but also to updating of secondary raw materials properties.
In this case additive's selection has been determined not only by its impact on
physico-mechanical properties of polymeric compositions, but also by its ability to
biodegradation. It is known that colloidal clay with an advanced surface is natural
¿ ller, a good adsorbent, and a dispergator from treatise [1]. Colloidal clay belongs to
alumosilicic hydrates of layered structure [2].
12.3 DISCUSSION AND RESULTS
Investigations were conducted on compositions on basis difference concentration col-
loidal clay. As a result of the researches that were carried out optimum concentration
colloidal clay has been established. It has made 2%. It can be explained that colloidal
clay is created by uniform distribution of a filler in concentration of 2% in the condi-
tions of processing highly filled (30-40% of agroindustrial complex waste) polymeric
compositions, that the conducted researches have proved by a method of optical mi-
croscopy (Figure 1(a) and (b)). In the Figure 1(a) we can see more uniform distribu-
tion of filler in a polyethylene composition with colloidal clay in comparison with the
structure of Figure 1(b). In case of concentration's increase in polymeric compositions
the effect of forming of colloidal clay's own structures in polymer filled compositions
is observed. Herewith, there are complexities of filler's distribution in polymer.
