Seoul Station
Seoul station is the hub of the domestic rail network operated by Korean National Rail-
road ( 1544 7788; www.korail.go.kr ) . Tickets can be bought up to one month in advance at
many travel agents, as well as at train stations or online. Booking ahead is advised. If you
plan to travel by train a lot over a short period, consider buying a 'KR pass' (see the web-
site for details).
The fastest train is the KTX (Korea Train Express). A grade down are saemaeul ser-
vices, which also only stop in major towns. Mugunghwa trains are also comfortable and
fast, but stop more often.
Bus & Taxi
City buses and taxis depart from the east side of the station.
Subway
Lines 1 and 4 connect Seoul station with the city.
Yongsan Station
Some long-distance trains from the south of Korea terminate at Yongsan station ( OFFLINE
MAP ); many others pass through on their way to Seoul station.

Subway
Line 4 and the Jungang line connect Yongsan Station with the city.
