Dongdaemun Design Plaza & Park
Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid was hired to design this silvery, sinuous build-
ing that's one of the most striking recent additions to Seoul's urban patchwork. The at-
tached park had to be modified when early Joseon-era archaeological remains were dis-
covered on the site. These are now on view along with a couple of free exhibition halls de-
