D CUBE CITY
hardly come any more stylish than this new one in the previously industrial hub of Guro.
The interior spaces surround a waterfall that cascades down seven floors and there's plenty
of multilevel outdoor terraces on which to relax in fine weather. Also here is the D Cube
Arts Centre with a concert hall and larger theatre for musicals, a very spiffy Sheraton Hotel
(with fabulous views from all rooms), good restaurants and a superbly designed Korean
food court in the basement.
10 CORSO COMO SEOUL
FASHION
gendary London store Biba, this outpost of the fashion and lifestyle boutique is about as de-
licious as Seoul retail can get. The blend of fashion, art and design is seductive - if you
can't afford the clothes, which include those of several local designers, there's a brilliant
selection of international books and CDs to browse and a chic cafe for an espresso or glass
of wine.
COEX MALL
ranean maze of a mall is attached to a branch of Hyundai department store, three hotels, a
multiplex cinema, the COEX Convention Centre and World Trade Centre. Among the
scores of dining and shopping possibilities here is a branch of the bookshop Bandi &
Luni's. Next door Evan Records is a good place to pick up K-Pop and K-Indie CDs as well
as local movies and TV series on DVDs.

Department stores in
Seoul don't get more luxurious than this. If you want to play Audrey Hepburn staring wist-
fully into Tiffany's, don a Helen Kaminski hat, try on a Stella McCartney dress or slip into
a pair of Jimmy Choos; the east wing of fashion icon Galleria is the place to be. Dozens of
top fashion-designer stores are packed into the two Galleria buildings, the west wing of
which is covered in glass discs that turn psychedelic at night.
