Beneath the traffic-clogged highways that shadow the course of the Han River is a string
of grassy parks linked up by kilometres of cycle lanes. Joining in the pedalling fun is easy,
as the city maintains bicycle-hire stations at various points along the river. One of the best
places to start or finish a cycle trip is the island of Yeouido. From here you can cross over
to the northern side of the Han and pedal out to the World Cup Stadium and back via
Seonyudo Park, a recreation area crafted from a former water filtration plant.
