CAT & DOG CAFES
Tokyo started it with cafes where you can cosy up to cats. Seoul had to go one better, so dogs are also on offer
as temporary pets. Korea may be known as a place where people eat dog meat, but at Bau House ( OFFLINE MAP ;
334 5152; off parking lot alley; 2-11.30pm Mon-Fri, 12.30-11pm Sat & Sun; Line 6 to Sangsu,
Exit 1) patrons are only interested in playing with the pooches. You'd have to be a dog lover, as the 5th-floor
cafe is pretty whiffy.
Over in Gangnam there's the classier Caffe Pawz ( cafe.naver.com/cafepawz ; 11am-11pm; Line 2
to Gangnam, Exit 5) which is a dog 'hotel' and grooming centre with an attached cafe also serving organic dog
treats.
Cat lovers are also well catered for in Seoul at the Godabang Cat Cafe ( www.godabang.com ) chain; you'll
find ones in Sinchon ( OFFLINE MAP ) and Gangnam ( OFFLINE MAP ).
