Fun and light-hearted. Could have been more structured. We kind of
made it up as we went.

setup as it
really made me feel comfortable and sociable. The lingo used in the
course made me feel that at least I was among fellow gamers. I feel like
we could have benefitted with less student presentations and more
teacher instruction. There

It was a good idea to treat this class like a game, but the mechanics
need to be worked on. I liked having a guild to work with.

“
Very laid-back and jovial. A very fun group to exchange ideas and
debate. Celebrates the subject. Lock down the rules on grading. Quite a
few times I was surprised or unsure of how we would be graded.

The class was full of people interested in video games, which made the
class a great learning environment. More explanation on assignments.

“
I like the video game feel of the class. Forming the guilds and working
within them to complete tasks (i.e., debates, quizzes, etc.) was fun. I
learned a lot more about video games now than before. The environment
just made some of the dry material (i.e., edutainment section and other
learning theories) more fun. I would give more detail on the prototype
design documents. I wanted to know more about what you liked/disliked,
more suggestions, etc., to make the final concept document better.

“
Very experimental and collaborative.

“
Very encouraging for discourse. Further integrate the gaming idea into
the class [would have been helpful]
—
(i.e., intertwine elements of class-
work with gaming).
