l Since some of the older students tire easily, the course has been
divided into three short segments of one hour each per week instead
of two classes of one and a half hours each.
l Course will run for eight weeks with a final garden party and show
one month later to see how the garden has grown. Other FVRC
residents will be invited to this event as well.
n Classroom: Flower Valley Garden Center
l Three miles from the FVRC. FVRC will provide transportation in
their bus.
l Garden Center will donate the use of garden space and used tools
with a nominal charge of $15 for all seeds, pots, soil, and so on.
(Note to scout out garden center for possible awards and quest
givers.)
l Additional costs, including refreshments at the garden party and
show, absorbed by Flower Valley Community College Adult
Education Program.
n After meeting with residents at FVRC, the idea of doing this spring
