The solution must be sought within the context of space law. If it is clear that each
field of law presents its own peculiarities, the various parts of international law influence
each other, and this does not necessarily imply an automatic acquisition, in a given part of
international law, of the antecedents elaborated in another.
At the end of its work on the fragmentation of international law, the International Law
Commission reached the conclusion that any lex specialis or self-contained regime cannot
operate inabsolute autonomy with noconnections with other special regimes andseparated
from the general international law. 9
