discrepancy between the simulation and the experiment could be attributed to
different working conditions in the experimental apparatus that are slightly different
from the corresponding block parameters in ASPEN Plus. In addition, losses at each
location in the experimental apparatus are inevitable, but these cannot be accurately
captured in the simulation.
3.3 Scaled-up Simulations of CLOU Process
Scaling up is an essential step toward the realization and optimization of com-
mercial power plants. Four scaled-up simulations were conducted by increasing the
coal feeding rate. The oxygen carrier circulation rate and air supply rate were also
