Database Fundamentals
All Good Things is a startup company entering the
highly competitive Internet sales market. You are re-
sponsible for identifying database requirements for the
company.
Database Components
You work for a company that operates a chain of dry
cleaning and alteration shops. Customer drop-offs and
alteration requests are recorded manually on multi-part
carbonless forms. The current cash registers cannot re-
tain more than one day's worth of information. The
company has traditionally outsourced its data process-
ing needs. You were hired to bring those activities in-
ternal, basing them at the company's home office.

Database Models

mainframe database files on one or more PC-based
database servers. All servers will be left online during
initial deployment and testing.
