In-Depth Information
DIVE OPERATORS
Safe, professional dive operators are plentiful.
» Most offer at least three dives a day - a two-tank dive in the morning, followed by a one-
or two-tank dive in the afternoon. Many also offer night dives.
» Most operate dive vessels, though a few in the USVI are shore-based and have specialized
knowledge of the near-shore reefs.
» Expect to pay about $80 to $90 for a one-tank dive, $110 to $125 for two tanks.
» If you are in the USVI and the operator is going to a dive site in the BVI, you will need a
passport and you will have to clear customs, which costs around $25.
» Most BVI operators offer rendezvous diving for visitors on yachts, which means the com-
pany will pick you up at your boat.
