The stings of bees and wasps and nonpoisonous spider bites are usually painful rather
than dangerous. Calamine lotion will give relief, and ice packs will reduce the pain and
swelling. Mosquitoes and no see 'ums (tiny biting insects) can also be a major annoyance.
Bring insect repellent.
If you get caught in jellyfish tentacles, peel off the tentacles using paper or a towel to
protect your fingers. To alleviate the itchy sting, wash the affected area with salt water or
vinegar.
