of the most delightful places to eat on Tortola, Secret Garden sets its outdoor tables amid
the distilling buildings of an old plantation. Suzanne Allen's imaginative fare ranges from
grilled swordfish Creole to coconut chicken or Bajan flying-fish pie. She also shakes up
specialty cocktails such as watermelon sangria and passionfruit martinis. Reservations re-
quired.
Last Resort SEAFOOD $$

Bay, the Last Resort is a little place with a big personality, renowned for its baked mahi-
mahi and other surf and turf options. When the chef steps out and joins the band, the real
fun begins. The open-air venue is popular with cruising sailors, but landlubbers can call for
ferry service from the resort's hotline telephone at the Trellis Bay ferry dock, and staff will
pick you up. If you like a good-humored night on the town, the Last Resort delivers.
Brandywine Bay ITALIAN $$$

chef David Pugliese's signature restaurant, lying a mile east of Road Town, overlooking Sir
Francis Drake Channel. Here you can eat haute Mediterranean dishes served on a candlelit,
breeze-cooled terrace. Menu items include dishes like roasted duck in mango sauce, veal
chop with ricotta, lamb ravioli and the house-made mozzarella. Reservations are essential.
Brandywine's sister restaurant is Capriccio di Mare in Road Town.
Pusser's East PIZZA, SEAFOOD $$

ner) Yep, it's another goodtime Pusser's, joining the outlets in Road Town and Sopers
Hole. This one is on the waterfront at Hodge's Creek, with a seaside 100-foot porch and
views out toward Peter, Salt and Cooper islands. The menu ranges wide, with pizza and
fried chicken the house specialties. Happy hour rings in from 4pm to 7pm, when drinks are
two for the price of one - a prime time to visit.
