cuisine, come to this neighborhood joint in Purcell Estate, east of Road Town. It's worth
the trouble it takes to find (take a cab your first trip - about $8 from the ferry dock). Torto-
lians show up in droves to consume barbecue seafood and curry dishes from chef Clarence
Emmanuel.

for the yellow and lime-green house set back from the road - or just follow your nose to-
ward the smell of slow-cooked meats. Beef brisket, roast pork and rotisserie chicken are
heaped on to plates with a side of cornbread. Marinated pork and chicken pesto sandwiches
are also available, as are chicken wings with thyme and garlic gravy. If you have food al-
lergies, staff make an effort to work around it.
La Dolce Vita ICE CREAM $

Fri-Sun) La Dolce Vita scoops real-deal gelato - awesome rich creamy goodness in flavors
like chocolate chip, biscotti, cookies and cream and 20 or so more. The owner lived in Italy
and honed her craft there. She even makes soy flavors for vegans.
Three Sheets Sports Bar BURGERS, SEAFOOD $$

casual pub sits across from the ferry dock, and its free wi-fi and satellite TV make it a swell
place to hang out if you're waiting for a boat. It's got a standard menu of burgers, wraps
and fish dishes. You can sit in the air-conditioned bar or outdoors on the roof terrace.
Bazz Natural Juices SMOOTHIES $
(Waterfront Dr; smoothies $3-5; varies) Listen for the roar of blenders near where
the road curves in toward Wickhams Cay 1. The good folks at this outdoor stand mix up all
manner of healthy, fruity, frosty beverages - and they'll add alcohol if you like.
