of shops and restaurants right on the harbor. The set-up imitates a 19th-century Danish
great house with colonial-style mahogany furniture and vaulted ceilings to match. Hand-
some rooms have French doors that open onto tiny but pretty balconies with a view toward
the water.

You won't get a beach here, but you will get lots of personalized
attention from long-time owners Roger and Claudia Carrington. A cooked breakfast each
morning, bathrobes, full concierge services and cookies at bedtime are all part of the pack-
age. The five rooms are each named and colored after a particular flower; all have a private
bathroom, refrigerator, coffee maker and either a pool view or harbor view. There is a
shared TV in the common room. The B&B sits on Herman Hill, overlooking Christiansted.
It's about a 10-minute drive southwest of town via Rte 70, so you'll need a car if you're
staying here.
