These cauliflowers will need the protection of a light fleece covering from July to September, to keep egg-laying
butterflies away.
Fennel is supposed to be sown direct to avoid transplant shock, which can cause early bolting. We've never had a
problem and instead sow it in modules. This picture was taken in late May.
