Rova HISTORIC BUILDING
(Palais de la Reine; Rue Ramboatiana) Tana's rova (fortified palace) is the imposing struc-
ture that crowns the highest hill of Tana. Gutted in a fire in 1995, it is still under restoration
and was not officially open to the public at the time of research. However, it was possible
to enter the grounds by paying Ar5000 to the gatekeeper and coming in with one of the
freelance guides hanging about (Ar5000).
