SIGHTS & ACTIVITIES
Libanona Beach & Ankoba Beach BEACH
These adjacent beaches have an exotic setting right in the city. The latter is known for its
surfing, both board and wind.
Fort Flacourt FORTRESS
(admission Ar10,000; 8-11am & 2-5pm Mon-Sat, 2-6pm Sun) This historic fort is cur-
rently used as a military base. The soldiers at the entrance endlessly discuss whether or not
to let you in, how much it should cost, and who should get the money. There's not much to
see except for a few cannons, so these negotiations are the highlight.
