leave daily from the northern taxi-brousse station in Tuléar, usually between 6am and
early afternoon; the trip costs Ar6000 and takes three hours. You can get out anywhere in
between, just tell the driver. Transfers provided by the hotels for their clients cost around
Ar27,000 per person, while taxis in Tuléar charge around Ar60,000. Travel to Andavad-

You might consider this a smart alternative to Mangily, if you really want to get away
from it all. There are three upmarket hotels to consider, all of them following the lodge-
and-bungalow model, and offering a similar, and very broad, range of a la carte activities:
zebutrips,forestexcursions,kitesurfing,diving,whalewatching,fishing,quadbiking,and
horse riding among them. Transfers can be arranged from Tuléar (38km away) for approx-
imately Ar85,000 per vehicle. Stay or no, it is definitely worth stopping by here around
noon to watch the return of the fishing fleet, over 200 pirogues strong, just below Hôtel
Belle Vue. The hotel signs will announce your arrival.
