To architect, if domestic sub-contractor refuses to provide a warranty
which was not originally requested
Dear
[ Insert name of sub-contractor ] refuses to enter into a warranty on the terms
which you have proposed.
[ Add either: ]
It appears that this sub-contractor is not prepared to enter into any warranty.
Our problem is, as you are aware, that the number of sub-contractors that are
able to carry out this kind of work/design [ delete as appropriate ] is extremely
limited and this contractor is in great demand. We should be pleased to have
your observations and instructions.
[ Or: ]
It appears that this sub-contractor is prepared to enter into a warranty if the
terms are amended and we enclose an example of such a warranty. We should
be glad to have your confirmation that the amended terms are satisfactory.
Yours faithfully
