To domestic sub-contractor, requiring a warranty if not noted in the
invitation to tender
Dear
We refer to your quotation dated [ insert date ] in the sum of [ insert amount ] for
[ insert the nature of the work or design ].
We are prepared to enter into a sub-contract with you if you will confirm in
writing that you are prepared to sign the attached warranty/execute the
attached warranty as a deed [ delete as appropriate ] in favour of the
employer/future tenants/purchasers/funders [ delete as appropriate ] within
two days of receipt of our instruction to do so. This is a requirement of the
employer under the main contract and it cannot be varied. If you are not
prepared to give the undertaking we seek, we shall have no alternative but
to place the sub-contract work elsewhere.
We look forward to receiving your confirmation by [ insert date ] so that we may
proceed with the contract documentation.
