To architect, withholding consent if instruction will affect the
contractor's design
This letter is only suitable for use with MWD or DB.
Dear
Thank you for your instruction number [ insert number ] dated [ insert date ]
which we received today. The instruction is or makes necessary an alteration
or modification in the design of the CDP Works [ substitute simply 'the Works'
when using DB ]by[ describe the way in which it will affect the CDP Works or the
Works as appropriate ].
We formally give notice that in the circumstances we believe it reasonable to
withhold our consent under clause 3.4.2 [ substitute '3.9.1' when using DB ].
Under the provisions of this clause your instruction will not now take effect.
