User A User object is the fundamental security principal on which Active Directory is
based. User accounts contain information about individuals as well as password and other
permission information.

Creating Objects Using the Active Directory Users and Computers Tool
Exercise 5.5 walks you through the steps necessary to create various objects within an
Active Directory domain. In this exercise, you create some basic Active Directory objects.
To complete this exercise, you must have access to at least one Active Directory domain
controller, and you should have also completed the previous exercises in this chapter.
