Many other feature trees exist within games. Here is a list of other places you might
find them:
Technology trees
Advancing jobs, careers, or skills
Progressing through tournaments
Game option menu structures
Adding or upgrading spells, abilities, or superpowers
Increasing complexity and types of skills needed to craft or cook items
Earning new ranks, titles, trophies, or medals
Unlocking codes, upgrades, or powerups
Unlocking new maps, environments, or race courses
Unlocking better cars, outfits, or opponents
One situation that is especially interesting to test is when different menu trees or tree
paths can affect the same value, ability, or game element. Such values should be set
and checked by all of the possible means (paths) provided by the game. For example,
the Dawn of War Game Options that are set in Skirmish mode also become the values
used in Multiplayer, LAN, Online, or Direct Host mode.
