In Italy, there are 17 certification bodies recognized and their activity is constantly under
control of the Region where they are placed. Moreover, 14 certification bodies over 17 are
located in the Centre and North of Italy, whereas only two of them carry out their activity in
Southern Italy. In particular, BIKO, IMO Gmbh and Q.C. & I. have been recognized to
operate in Bolzano province.
